The Kitchen Crafter of Mountain View provides cabinet services and products, featuring StarMark cabinets, for the mid-peninsula area of San Mateo and Santa Clara counties. We design and install custom kitchens, featuring high quality American-made StarMark® semi-custom cabinets. We build to the highest energy efficiency requirements. Our kitchens have won design awards and have been featured in the Palo Alto Weekly newspaper and San Jose magazine. We carefully design kitchens using CAD computer tools to maximize the beauty and functionality of the finished environment. Most of our total kitchen remodels are completed within six weeks, many within 4 weeks.

The Kitchen Crafter, based in Mountain View, has been owned by John Beeley since 1994. Initially started as a Kitchen Tune-up® franchise, we've also done business (and won awards) as JB Builders.
John Beeley is a California Class B Contractor, license number 709202.
John is a Certified Kitchen and Bath Remodeler (CKBR) through NARI, the National Association of the Remodeling Industry.

The Kitchen Crafter carries General Liability and Workers Compensation Insurance.

After earning a BS Degree in Engineering Computer Science from UCLA, John had a 27 year career in software development, including early computer network systems, before becoming his own boss in a field he enjoyed, home improvement.

John's early home improvement experience included a complete remodel of his home in Los Angeles (before moving to the SF Bay area). The remodel involved lifting a 3-bedroom house and building a first floor under it.

John especially enjoys kitchen design, combining his engineering training, artistic and state-of-the-art CAD software to provide detailed cabinet rendition and plans.

Outside of work, John is a Masters Swimmer and shares a home with two African Grey Parrots.
